O Le Tala i le Niu: Our Art Adventure!

What a creative week in Potu Tasi! We listened to a wonderful Samoan story: O Le Tala i le Niu (The Story of the Coconut). It was all about the niu (coconut palm) and the popo (coconut).

Digital Art Skills Unlocked!

After the story, we became digital artists! We used tools like shapes, the pen, colour fill, and resize to draw the world of the coconut:

  • The la (sun) ☀️
  • The vai (cloud) with rain 🌧️
  • The palapala (ground)
  • The niu (tree) 🌳
  • The popo (coconut) 🥥

It was great to see everyone using the new Samoan words and their digital skills!

Sharing and Saving

Everyone was so proud to share their creations with the class! They explained their artwork, which was a fantastic chance to practice speaking.

Finally, they learned an important digital skill by exporting their artwork and saving it safely to their drive.

A big fa’afetai tele to everyone for a fantastic, creative week!
